If there was one thing that I would change when it comes to children is sleep. I bet you are all nodding in agreement! God I miss sleep, I loved that bad boy! I am fortunate that Alfie sleeps like a log and Elarna sleeps ok, not quite as good as Alfie but she could be worse. Before I had Alfie I had no real clue about what to expect and the sleep deprivation, people warned us but until you experience it yourself it's hard to know what it feels like to survive on minimal hours sleep. When the little darlings come along all of sudden those blissful, uninterrupted sleepy times are gone. Poof! Just like that. The constant wake ups from the newborn stage then turn into snuffles and illnesses and then the toddler phase starts where you hopefully do have a child that sleeps through but your sleep ins (what are they?!) are then replaced with 6am starts......if you are lucky!
One thing that I have found that has made a real difference to my sleep in the last year or so was changing our bed and mattress. I seem to sleep so much better since we did. If you are having a rough nights sleep or having other issues that are disrupting your sleep I would definitely consider choosing a new bed and mattress, at the very least a new mattress and I bet you would be surprised at the difference it makes. Over at Bedstar they have an amazing range of bed frames and mattresses to choose from. You go for a pine frame, lets face it they're classic and you can't go wrong with pine or you could go more modern and contemporary with a leather bed frame. If you are struggling with storage you could even choose an ottoman (lift up) bed or a frame with drawers, which we have and they are super handy! I'm sure you will agree there is a huge amount of choice! I would be very surprised if you didn't find what you were looking for on the website.
So tell me, what are your tips for getting a good night sleep?
