Say hello to Bedtime Bear.........1 and 2.........
Spot the difference.... |
Bedtime Bear 1 generally lives upstairs in Alfie's room and Bedtime Bear 2 is the downstairs bear, as a consequence of this Bedtime Bear 2 is generally filthy even after I wash it every other day! He gets dragged everywhere, dunked in the paddling pool, dipped in the sandpit and chewed a lot!
The other day I had a massive Mummy fail moment and I washed both Bedtime Bears (I know, bad Mummy but this was me trying to be efficient), to be honest it was a pretty stupid thing to do, even more stupid was hanging them both on the washing line for Alfie to see, haha. I did have to laugh when he was sitting under the washing line and reaching up trying to get both bears from the line *insert evil laugh here*, thankfully due to the recent warm weather they didn't take long to dry and Alfie was once again reunited with his bear.
I'm actually quite tempted to buy yet another Bear just to be sure that if we ever lose one or one goes missing I'm covered, but at £10.00 a bear they're not particularly the cheapest teddy, but then Alfie is worth every penny! I guess I should be thankful really as soon enough he'll be wanting other things than teddies!
On another note has anyone been into John Lewis lately? We had a huge Waitrose and John Lewis at Home open near me before Christmas (2012) and it's brilliant, any excuse and I'm there, plus they have a great baby and childrens section. Also, it's worth a looking on the John Lewis website for their amazing range of childrens soft toys (click on the link previous to see the range), they have loads to choose from (and they stock Jellycat which is another of Alfie's favourite make of toys, in the picture above the soft toy on the right is from the Jellycat range which I bought from John Lewis).

As I sit here writing this I'm looking at Bedtime Bear now and thinking he really needs a wash (again!), time to get Bedtime Bear 1 down so Alfie doesn't notice as I put Bedtime Bear 2 in the wash!
So I'm interested to know does your bambino or little one have a comforter and would you or have you ever had to buy multiples of things 'just in case' ?

My son Riley uses a little blanket that came with a Leapfrog Twinkle Little Scout toy and the toy is £15 so we're always petrified he's going to lose it, he's had it 3 years now and the love is still going strong lol xx

Aww! That's good going Emma for it to still be with Riley 3 years down the line and not to be lost :-D XX
DeleteWe have 4 bedtime bears the same as yours lol, I am terrified of losing one! My son is 5 and still takes them to bed at night :-)
ReplyDeleteAhhh 4!! Haha, sounds like they are popular then in that case. Hopefully they won't stop making them as that would be a disaster! X
DeleteWe had 2 bears also, but Tyler only liked his stinky bear that he had sucked to death....it stank! Tried giving him his nice new soft one but wouldn't have it! Sadly both have now died a death by the dog, luckily Tyler doesn't want them anymore!
ReplyDeleteThis is what Bedtime Bear is like Carly, it's like the stinkier and the dirtier the more he likes it! It's quite cute though when he's carrying then around though :-) X
DeleteWe had 3 bears....One was lost on a day out and the other two have survived (my youngest is 5) She still has one of the sleepy bears as we call it in her bedroom along with her other teddies...The first and original one is in a huge box on top of the wardrobe along with all the other keepsakes...
ReplyDeleteHmm maybe I should invest in another bear just to be on the safe side then! I'm dreading it if we ever lose one eek! Thank you for your comment :-) X
DeleteMy Son had 2 Bedtime Bears JUST like yours and yup.. one in hand, other in wash, only last week his school lost one and now we only have one left... I have no idea where in South Africa to find them as the two we got were from Woolworths and they no longer sell them :( :(
ReplyDeleteDesperately looking around to find another one or maybe even two... to be safe again.. his 4 in September this year but boy oh boy that teddy... his life depends on it I tell you...
Please shout if you know where or how I can purchase one from SA...
Most Warm Regards
Lee-Ann
