Happy Mail!

If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know that I am sucker for subscription boxes and all things pretty (I currently subscribe to Glossybox, My Little Box and am dabbling in Cohorted). Facebook ad's are a right pain in the arse for suckers like me and when I saw a post pop up from the website I Heart Homes with some pretty, vintage home wares pictured, naturally the shopping obsessed part of me clicked on the link for a nose. Instantly I knew that the products on this website are made for me and although I am yet to order any of their gorgeous, pretty things for my home (which I totally will be once we move) I couldn't resist trying a cheeky 'happy mail' box.......who doesn't love happy mail!

I decided just to get the one off monthly box to see what it's like and to decide if I want to commit to monthly boxes. This October theme is 'Paris', I couldn't wait to see what I'd be sent. I actually forgot that I'd purchased it until it arrived as I paid at the beginning of the month and didn't receive it until the end, so it was a lovely little treat when it arrived.

For a one off month box the cost is £10.00 (not including p&p).  It doesn't break the bank but you do have the option of choosing 3 different levels of boxes depending how much you want to spend should you wish, £12.00, £18.00 and £28.00 (these prices are for one off boxes, the monthly boxes are a little cheaper).

Anyway I will stop garbling and get on with the box.....

First impressions were a teeny, little disappointed as they items arrived in a very thin, plain cardboard box. Although the products were carefully packaged in tissue paper I thought it a bit of a shame that the box it came in wasn't a little prettier, I can only assume this is to keep costs down and to fit through the letterbox. Other than the box itself, when I had a little look through the items in the box I was fairly happy.

There were lots of pretty, vintage looking bits and pieces that I could see and a real mix of items. I loved the Paris print that was in the top of box, I can't wait to pop this in a frame to put up in our new house, I'm thinking it will look nice in the downstairs loo!

One of my favourite items that was sent is this lovely little wooden Eiffel Tower decoration, seriously cute and it is going to be a very nice little decoration to display.

There was also a very sweet little pink, heart shaped lolly hidden in the box....it tasted very nice I can tell you (I managed to snaffle it before the boy did!).

I absolutely love this gorgeous, shabby chic Eiffel Tower necklace that was also in the box, it is completely my style and is one of my favourite items without a doubt (you can currently buy this online from the website on its own for £5.99).

The next item was a sweet little deer transfer. Although it's quite cute I probably won't use it as I have nothing really to put it on, however it looks so sweet I'm loathed to give it away!

Also in the box were the most lovely stickers, all pretty and vintage looking and very Parisienne. There was also a little notebook (perfect for my return to work to pop in my pocket), a couple of little parcel tags and a pencil.....always very handy to have around the house!

Overall I did feel very happy (wahoo!) with the items received, it gave me a little lift and I think that's absolutely what these boxes aim to do. I would definitely consider purchasing another box to try out, I haven't ordered this month purely because of our impending house move but  I would be tempted to try one of the more expensive options to see the difference in the products sent. Overall though a great little box filled with cutesy and girly items that are definitely going to leave you feeling, well.....happy!

Have you heard of the I Heart Homes 'happy mail' boxes? What do you think of the items sent?

  11. They look really cute. I avoid subscription boxes, because I'm fussy and I'll always end up with lots more stuff that I don't really need when I'm trying to declutter
