Glossybox Review - April 2016

So here we are once again with the latest Glossybox review, it only seems like yesterday that I was reviewing the March box! Anyway the latest box arrived a couple of weeks ago and after seeing a spoiler for an eyebrow pencil I was looking forward to seeing the rest of the box.

This months box on first impressions was fab! A couple of nice brands included and some new brands aswell which is nice. Sometimes Glossybox has had a tendency in the past boxes to feature the same brands over and over again so it's nice to see something fresh.

First up is a Next Make Me Beautiful Lipstick (RRP £8.00), intriguing, I've not seen any Next items featured before and on the packaging it does state that the lipstick is part of a set so my guess is they are perhaps unsold items that were part of a giftset which they have split. Not an issue and actually the packaging and colour and application of the lippie is nice. I love Next for clothes (which you will know if you follow my weekend style posts!) but I've not really ever tried their makeup so this was a nice item to be sent.

Next item is another brand new to me and new to Glossybox. Bandi Intensive Moisturising Cream (RRP £9.70), I love a moisturiser, I use so much of the stuff that I welcome any in these boxes! Described as a light and airy moisturiser designed to be quickly absorbed leaving the skin supple and radiant. I'm yet to try it but looking forward to, I also like the handy pump that it comes in. Great item!

The 3rd item in the box was another nice brand to see included, Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil (RRP for full size £28.00) is designed to revive the complexion. I have a love/hate relationship with facial oils, on one hand they are really effective but they do sometimes tend to sit on my skin rather than soak in but I'm looking forward to giving this one a go.

The fourth item is my favourite to see in this months box, what a fab brand to be included!! Leighton Denny Expert Nails Miracle Mist (RRP £12.00). I love anything that will speed up drying nail polish as I am the most impatient person ever! I already use some drops which I like but a mist.....ohhhh! Cannot wait to give this a go.

Lastly Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner (RRP £22) I'm actually blown away at the price tag on this, pretty steep if you ask me, although I've never heard of the brand before but I'm guessing with a price tag like that it's classed as luxury. Described as creamy and long lasting with both an eyebrow definer and highlighter it's an ok item. I personally felt it was a little scratchy to apply and wasn't overly smooth but the shade is nice.

Fab box this month, really pleased with all of the items sent ultimately, I will use every single product and hope that next months box will be as good.

What do you think of the products in this months box?

  1. What a nice little box of beauty products to try. I've never tried Glossy Box, but I've definitely heard of them. I'm dont know how much their boxes cost each month, but there is a good range of types of products and I was really suprised at the price of some of the individual items! Look forward to seeing more reviews of their boxes on your blog. Thanks for linking it up to #MarvMondays Emily
