Our Week!

The weekend is nearly upon us, wahooo!! It's been a good week.  Nothing overly amazing just a nice, simple and pleasant week.

We had a great day on Saturday seeing our close friends and their little boy at Whipsnade Zoo, it was such perfect weather, beautiful blue sky, a gentle breeze and no rain!! We even sat outside and had a bite to eat while taking in the beautiful scenery over the Dunstable Downs. While the boys went and had some fun on the train myself and my friend had a sneaky glass of wine......wine at the zoo.......who knew! We got home just after 7 and I was exhausted, once the kids were tucked up in bed I had another little glass of vino and was then asleep by 10:30pm, just can't handle the pace these days.

Sunday was slightly quieter, we did a few bits and pieces that took up most of the day but I did manage to whip up a portion of chocolate brownie topped with marshmallows, it was disgustingly good if I do say so myself!

Tuesday was a welcome day off, the day was spent pottering around the house, reading books with Alfie and generally just having a quiet day. My parents popped over for a bit and my Mum took Alfie for a nice walk while Elarna was napping so I got on with a few bloggy bits, it was nice to catch up a little.....I'm finding it hard to juggle everything at the moment. Alfie also spent a small amount of time in the garden in just pants and wellies......clearly a trend setter, ha!

Yesterday my other day off seemed to fly by, I spent alot of the day tidying and cleaning and my parents popped over again so I could pop out for an appointment. I roped Dad into putting up my new beach  art (which my Mum hates but lucky for her it's not her house and I love it). We went out for a walk, it was another gorgeous day, I really can't wait for Spring to fully start, I think we all need a bit of cheering up with bluer skies and a spot of sunshine.

I have another fun filled Saturday ahead which I'm looking forward to. I hope everyone else has a great weekend and here's hoping the next week goes by quickly.
