Wine of the Week - Chablis 2009

Evening Beauties

Ahh I've been a bit slack on blog posting and my wines of the week, cramming for my final exam has taken over, hopefully come Friday normal service will resume.

This weeks wine of the week is a 2009 Chablis. Chablis is a chardonnay grape variety so is predominantly a dry white wine. Quite often Chablis is described to have an almost flinty taste to it which I can kind of get, mostly though I find that they've got that classic Chardonnay taste which is crisp, dry acidity.

Sometimes it's nice to step away from the Sauvignon's and Pinot's and enjoy a dry wine for a change :-)

Sadly I have no information where you can buy this as it was a booze cruise purchase from Citi Europe, Calais.
