I'd decided that when Alfie started school I would just hold off from blogging so much and I reduced the amount I was posting quite dramatically but now I feel he's settled and I have a couple of hours free when Elarna is napping I would start posting a bit more. So here we are back again with a round up of my week. It's been strange adjusting to school runs and cramming lots of jobs and things to do in between the hours of 9am - 3pm but I'm slowly getting used to it. It's quite nice in a way to have these hours to catch up on things. The last week has been good, quiet but good.
We have a little house guest in the form of a Tortoise called Victor who we are looking after while our besties are having a little holiday. The children have been really enjoying looking after him and making sure he has enough food, water and lettuce. Elarna is very much fascinated by him. He's a cute little thing if not a little stompy haha. Hubby has also completely demolished (wahhh!) our en-suite which sadly sprung a leak and we discovered that the previous owners seem to have covered this up as everything was very damp and mouldy so the only thing we could do was redo it - we were going to do this eventually but weren't planning on doing it quite so soon! I popped to an antiques fair on Sunday, I was looking for a vintage mirror but sadly didn't find one but did come away with a rather nice pink, sparkly necklace which you can see by clicking here.
The weather has been nice over the last few days so I took the opportunity to have a walk in the village where Alfie's school is before I picked him up. I feel so lucky that he's in such a lovely school surrounded by such gorgeous countryside - and sheep, lots of sheep! We stopped to watch the sheep for a while, collected some conkers and popped to the little garden centre for a nose, it was a nice way to spend an hour. The rest of the week has been spent with cuddles, tidying and catching up on a whole load of washing!
This is my week. What have you been up to?
