Macademia No Tangle Brush - Review

Tangles no more, tangles no more........rejoice!!!!

I am a complete convert to tangle teezer style brushes after purchasing this particular one. Having naturally curly and highlighted hair it requires quite alot of TLC to keep it in good condition and to prevent my hair from breaking.  After reading some reviews on both the tangle teezer and the macadamia no tangle brush I opted for the latter as it has a handle and is easier to hold.

I have been testing this one out the last few times I've washed my hair and it's fantastic. I no longer feel like I'm dragging and pulling a comb through my hair and damaging it. I still need to run it through a couple of times to make sure I get all the tangles out but once I've done that it runs through my hair so, so smoothly. I've also noticed that since using it my hair has become much silkier, smoother and with much less breakage. I have also changed my shampoo which is also helping with the condition of my hair and I'll feature them in a  post soon aswell.

The theory behind the tangle teezer type brushes is they use a unique 'flex bristle' with different lengths of bristles which are designed to effortlessly glide through the hair without the need to drag it. I really wish I'd discovered these years ago, I could have saved myself years of pain and torture trying to get a comb through my unruly wet curls! I also found it light and easy to hold with the handle and I really do think it's a 5 star product. I love it. I also love the fact that this one is pale pink and is being sold in pink in support of breast cancer awareness month which falls in October which is a cause I strongly support (hence why I wrote this post in pink!).

I would thoroughly recommend this if you have curly and coloured hair or your hair is weak and prone to breakage. I think if you use this over a couple of weeks you'd notice a massive difference in the strength and smoothness of your hair. It's fantastic!

You can purchase the macadamia no tangle brush from HQ Hair for £9.95 and it'll be the best tenner you've ever spent, promise!!!

Have you used a no tangle brush before? Do you love it as much as I do?

  1. I have a similar brush but I must be doing it wrong because it still reeeaaally hurts! I think it's definitely my fault though, I always brush my hair in a hurry (i'm always late!) x

  4. I have one of these two, and the Michel Mercier brush and they're so much better than the Tangle Teezers... I think it's because the bristles are longer, so it works well at working through my thick hair xx

  7. I have the brown and green one of these, it's so much better than a Tangle Teezer because I can actually use it!! I love that it's pink though, I might buy another seeing as it's for such a good cause :)

  9. I love the shape of this -I have to admit I adore my Tangle Teezer but it can be quite hard to hold this looks like it would solve that problem. x

  10. I have this and it is great for travelling, especially because of the sturdier bristles (compared to Teezer and Tamer). Can't believe fate was cruel enough for years, making me scream my way through horrible brushes and combs! These have to be the greatest invention of the 21st century so far! 13. I'm always skeptical of these things. I have the TangleTeezer and it just never seems to work for me. I have crazy thick hair and it doesn't even get through a few strands, it just slips over my hair :( X
