Fancy a new look? Treatments & procedure's that might help!

{Collaborative Content} There are various reasons that people might want to change the way they look. Some use their looks to express themselves. Some find certain appearances more in line with what they deem attractive. Some would feel more comfortable and confident with a little change. Regardless of your reason for wanting to go for a new look, it’s a good idea to really look into the changes you’re considering making to ensure that they’re really right for you. Don’t rush into anything - especially procedures or treatments that are permanent or difficult to reverse. Here are just a few options you might be mulling over, with a little more information on each.

Dying Your Hair

Natural hair colours tend to be genetic. When you take a look at statistics, you’ll easily be able to see the most dominant genes out there and how it affects populations’ most common hair colours. On a global scale, the most common hair colours are black and brown. It’s estimated that a huge 90% of the human population have black or brown hair! On the other hand, only about 2% of the global population have blonde hair. Red hair is even more rare, with just 1% of people having it naturally. While naturally blonde hair is extremely common in Nordic countries, and you’ll see plenty of people with red hair in Scotland, Ireland and Wales, you may not see it so much elsewhere in the world. Regardless of what hair colour you may have, you can always switch it up with dye. You don’t even need to stick to the natural hair colours. Brighter and bolder colours, like pinks, purples, blues, greens and bright yellows, are becoming so popular that they’re now widely available over the counter as box dyes at pharmacies. What is important is that if you dye your hair, you do so properly. Regardless of whether you dye it yourself or professionally, you need to complete a patch test to ensure you’re not allergic to the dye. Generally speaking, if you’re going a lighter tone and are going to need bleach to achieve this, it’s best to leave the work to the professionals. They’ll be able to complete this work in careful stages, to minimise damage to your hair. They are also more likely to give you results you’re happy with in terms of colour and tone!

Straightening Your Teeth

Many of us want straight teeth. However, it’s pretty uncommon for adults to have perfectly aligned teeth. More people have wonky teeth than those who have a straight set. The good news is that there are various different ways to straighten your teeth nowadays! Braces tend to be the most common option. You needn’t worry though - you don’t necessarily have to have the silver braces that we traditionally associate with teens. There are now transparent braces available, or even “invisible braces”, which are placed behind the teeth to be as unnoticeable as possible.

Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery tends to involve invasive procedures, such as surgery. There are various forms out there that wield hugely different results. Cosmetic surgery can range from a facelift to breast enhancement or reduction, nose jobs, implants and more. What’s extremely important for those considering cosmetic surgery is that you fully think through your decision. You need to know about the procedure, aftercare, recovery time, cost and more. You also need to ensure you consult and use a surgeon with all of the necessary medical qualifications and great reviews. It’s something that you really have to put a lot of thought, planning and preparation into it!

Line Reduction

Developing lines is a natural part of the ageing process. But if you want to slow or prevent the development and appearance of fine lines, you may want to consider treatments such as Botox. These will reduce the appearance and signs of lines. The injections can tackle lines on your forehead, creases around the corners of your eyes, or any other kind of wrinkles by freezing the muscles in the injected area. This reduces the amount of movement in your faces and consequently reduces creasing. Again, just make sure to use a qualified and recommended professional with good reviews!

There are endless beauty procedures out there and different options will suit different people’s needs and preferences. Those outlined above are just a few ideas that can give you a completely new look!
