I absolutely love accessorising our new home, I can spend hours and hours browsing online at homeware and lusting after more items to add to the house (much to my husbands despair!). For the past couple of years I've been really into white and cream accessories. I love colour but I just like to add certain items to rooms that are quite neutral in colour and add a pop of colour elsewhere. As I'm writing this I'm looking around our living room and the majority of my accessories are white or cream so I'm clearly drawn to them! I also love the shabby chic look at the moment so alot of items tend to reflect this.
When House of Fraser asked if I would like to review a few items from their 2016 home range I jumped at the chance, firstly I love House of Fraser and secondly to add a few more bits and bobs to the house. One of the rooms that needed a little love was the family bathroom, it was quite bare as I'd not really been using it but now we are using it more it needed some nice additions.
I chose 3 items from the shabby chic debossed collection available from the bathroom range . I loved how regal these looked, I could imagine these sitting in a top hotel bathroom and with them being so neutral I knew that these would have to be the chosen ones!
I opted for the ceramic tumbler, canister and soap dispenser. When they arrived they were much bigger and chunkier than I imagined. I absolutely love them, once I'd unwrapped them all I knew I'd made the right choice and think they fit in beautifully with the stone tiles we have. I really like our stone tiles but I feel these neutral items just tone it down a tad.
I love how clearly you can see the pattern on each of these, so pretty. I also really like the soap dispenser, without sounding odd it dispenses just the right amount of soap to wash your hands so no wastage!
The canister is so generous in size. I haven't stored anything in it as yet but it will be ideal for either cotton wool or even putting the kids foam letters in to tidy them up.
There is a toilet brush holder included in the range which we haven't currently got but it would be nice to complete the collection. The items start at a reasonable £12.00 (although currently on sale for £9.60!) and go up to £24.00 (sale price from £30) so a fair price for the range.
How do you like to accessorise your home? What do you think of the gorgeous shabby chic collection?
*Please note I was kindly sent these items free of charge in exchange for an honest review, all thoughts and opinions are that of my own.
