Redken Blonde Glam Shampoo & Conditioner - Review

http://www.hqhair.com/redken-blonde-glam-duo-2-products/10606211.html

In the quest to make get my hair back to a decent condition I have taken the plunge back into high quality hair care. Over the last couple of years my hair has taken quite a battering with highlights,  home dye kits and pregnancy and it's never been in as good condition as a few years ago when I was able to buy expensive shampoo and conditioner and treat it with decent hair products. When I started my nursing course I had to make some spending adjustments (bad times!) and unfortunately my love of expensive shampoo and conditioner took a back seat. However since I've been getting my hair highlighted at the hairdressers again high street shampoo and conditioner just aren't cutting it. Now I'm not saying that things like Herbal Essences and Timotei etc etc are necessarily bad as some people will find them great but with my hair they have just been drying it out and it's becoming more and more brittle.

I've tried so many products over the years and I do have my fave's as I've mentioned on here before (Kerastase ciment thermique, argan oil, Bed Head shine spray and most recently my no tangle brush) but I'd never tried Redken before. When I was researching what shampoo and conditioner to buy I came across the Redken Glam Blonde Duo from one of my favourite sites HQ Hair, I thought £20.00 for the two wasn't too much an extortionate price. I have been using both now for a couple of weeks and I have to say even on the first use I noticed a massive difference. Even just with quantity I needed to use (so much less than when I was using high street brands) and the way it felt like it was actually penetrating into my hair and actually cleaning it. I also love the way it has a toning effect on my hair and made it look fresh and more blonde than normal, it also smells lush! Excuse the rubbish picture I took it on my phone rather than my camera so you can't really see the effects very well.

The Redken glam blonde duo has been designed to achieve a lovely shine (can be very hard on highlighted hair), it is also designed to improve the health and appearance of the hair too. I also noticed that my hair took significantly less time to straighten after using it, I'm not sure why this is but something in it has helped to make my hair more manageable for sure! I am really liking the shampoo and conditioner and I would love to try some other Redken products in the future.

Sorry to waffle on, I seem to have got quite over excited about this but I'm so happy that I purchased them!

Has anyone else used Redken hair products before? Any recommendations?

  2. I was looking for some good hair products for blonde hair and I don't seem to find a nice one. I think I'm going to try them. Does you hair after a few washes becomes a little bit more yellow?Or with these products it keeps the pigment ?

    1. It seems to act like a toner and take any brassiness anyway but at the same time lightening and brightening it, I had a couple of people say how nice and blonde my highlights were looking. Would recommend! :-) x
