My word of the week is clumsy.
|
My clumsiness doesn't just stretch to breaking items but nearly myself! Last week while carrying Alfie down the stairs (he wanted a cuddle), pretty silly of me really when I've been having dizzy spells, I successfully proceeded to slip down around 5 stairs bashing my back and hand in the process but miraculously I managed to prevent any injury to bump by getting myself and Alfie into a strange position as I was slipping and a sliding down the stairs. The next day I then rather glamorously managed to do the 'Bambi' on ice but again thankfully didn't end up on my arse!
According to What to Expect when You're Expecting it appears I'm not alone in my clumsiness and it's perfectly normal during pregnancy, although I'm fairly sure my pregnancy has just amplified that I'm already just a really, really clumsy person!
Oh dear! I thought I was clumsy.....hehehe
ReplyDeleteGlad you are ok after your slip down the stairs....Eek x

DeleteGreat post, I can so relate to the clumsiness! I put it down to always being in such a rush while trying to empty dishwasher etc!!
ReplyDeleteWell I guess there is that haha, I must try and slow down! x
DeleteOuch! That sounds painful! Hope you got made a fuss of afterwards.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanne, I was well looked after by hubby and son :-) x
DeleteAww bless you, yes it's a really common thing in pregnancy but that doesn't stop it being annoying for you!!! PS with my Midwife hat on, if you're having dizzy spells make sure you're not anaemic xx
ReplyDeleteThankyou for the advice, had my iron levels checked the other week and all ok, just low blood pressure, most inconvenient! x
DeleteOh my word..... glad your fall down the stairs ddnt result in an injury to you, bump or Alfie. I have hrard of clumsiness, but WOW, that's a lot of crockery... have you mentioned all this to your midwife? I would be scared to leave the house!
ReplyDeleteSo am I, I have to confess I panicked some what! I've always been clumsy it's just as I said in the post seems to have become more amplified this time! x
DeleteOh no, so glad you're all OK! Yes, I recall being a bit clumsy when pregnant, but I can imagine that if you're already clumsy anyway, it can get pretty bad! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x
ReplyDeleteLove the linky :-) Thankyou for the comment x
DeleteOh my goodness, you've not had much luck this week - be careful with yourself! This is another pregnancy symptom I'd never heard of, so will look out for it over the months! x
ReplyDeleteHaha no I haven't! Good luck with your pregnancy :-) watch out for the clumsiness! x
DeleteClumsiness is something that I always own permanently. I am actually sad that my son also got this. But on the bright side he is not learning how to fall properly. A skill that you will need to learn when you are clumsy. He is getting there. #wotw
ReplyDeleteYes me too, I'm just even worse now! X
