Freya, Bras for Bigger Boobs!

Having bigger boobs can be both a blessing and curse. In my case, mostly a curse! However you have to try love what you got and over the years I've kind of learned to just get used to them, they are after all here to stay! One thing though that bugs the hell out of me is finding decent underwear and stuff that actually looks pretty and fits well, not something that looks like your Granny would wear. Once upon a time I remember that all I could find was grotty white or black bras that didn't exactly make you feel good or look nice!

Fast forward a good few years and thank goodness things have moved on alot. Now there are companies that specifically cater for the bigger boobed among us and you know what it's now a pleasure to wear bras and not depressing! The bras that are available are gorgeous - girly, feminine, structured and sexy but at the same time remembering that there is a whole load of boob to support so functional at the same time.

The brand Freya has been a long time staple in my undie draw, I remember buying a couple of bikinis from the brand (pre kids I may add) and they were the only ones that I felt fully comfortable wearing. Yes you pay a premium for the brand (and similar) but it's well worth the money for well fitting underwear and swimwear.

The brand Freya has been going from strength to strength since 1998 and over the years has steadily grown the brand into catering for the bustier woman with a huge amount of items to choose from, think bras, swimming cossies and active ranges. The brand continues to grow and regularly updates collections with a wonderful choice. Currently, Freya goes up to a size K so it really appeals to a range of women which is fab.

I was recently sent this beautiful pulse semi sheer plunge balcony bra to review and it is gorgeous. On first impression I was a bit worried that it might not offer me enough coverage but it was a full cup, incredibly supportive and looked lovely when on. I loved the design, the sheer look of the bra makes it quite sexy but it's also pretty, I love the royal blue bows featured adding a little pop of colour. It really is gorgeous and retails at £34.00 ( I always do feel a little bit hard done by having to pay a bit more for bras that cater for big boobs but I just suck it up!).

So if you're struggling to find a nice bra for bigger boobs then I can't recommend Freya highly enough, I love the brand, love the products and love the fit.

Have you ever tried Freya products before?

* Please note I was kindly sent the bra free of charge in exchange for an honest and unbiased post, all thoughts and opinions are that of my own.

  1. I think that most women don't pay enough attention when it comes to buying the bra that really fits. If you have bigger breasts that's probably even harder, so your review is great and I believe can help others who struggle with the same problem. Love this bra! x

  5. I've never bought bras mail order but I do find it quite tedious finding any I like in the shops. That's usually because of the style I want though rather than the fit. I'm not in need of the larger sizes now I'm back to pre-breastfeeding size! It's great the internet means that getting access to non-standard sizing is easier though. I'm really tall so rely on the internet to buy a lot of my clothes. So I can imagine you were chuffed with getting what you needed from Freya! #MarvMondays

  6. Its good theres more out there for bigger ladies like Bravissimo too. Im not huge but alot of shops dont stick my size on certain ranges which is annoying and I also find alot dont have straps that are fully adjustable so even on the tightest setting the straps are still a bit loose which is annoying as I like to be hoiked up!! Thanks for joining us for #marvmondays

  9. It's so important to have a good bra, especially during and after pregnancy! I had just got used to having lovely big boobs whilst breastfeeding, but they've now shrunk again so I'm no longer a big boobed lady. My sister however has always been blessed with a large chest and I know she loves Freya bras! #MarvMondays

  17. Great that there is a company catering for larger bra sizes. I remember hearing people moan that they couldn't find pretty bras to fit because of their size #bestandworst x

  20. I used to need to buy big bra's, but my boobs have shrunk and shops are now selling a wider size range. I used to find it really hard to get anything nice in my size though. #bestandworst

  21. Having teeny tiny little been stings myself I have absolutely no idea about brands for big boobs. Infact I have absolutely no idea about big boobs full stop lol. That bra is very pretty though, but wow! £34? I bit my bras from Primark at £6 a pop. Maybe it's not so bad having no boobs after all. Certainly better on the purse strings from the sound of things.

(Unhinged mummy stopping by from #bestandworst). Thanks for hosting :-)

  23. A good bra can make you feel amazing can't it. This one is so pretty! Unfortunately my boobs are at the small end of the scale, but I can really see the need for a great range for those of us with bigger boobs! #bestandworst

  24. I wish that I had a reason to try these Freya bras, but my modest little boobs give me no need!! They are very pretty.....the bras that is, not my boobs!! #bestandworst

  28. I don't have this problem because I'm the total opposite and have what some may call 'non existent boobs' it does mean there are quite a few nice bras though but with the old 'one bigger than the other' chestnut it means these nice bras are totally pointless and don't really fit both at all! The problems us women have hey haha #MarvMondays

  29. Ah sigh. Sadly us ladies who aren't quite as blessed in the bosom area also have trouble! It sound like it's a problem in general - can anyone find decent bras anymore?! They look lovely though, sadly pretty useless for me, but pretty all the same!! 😄 X #bestandworst
