So the weather has been a bit mixed over the last few days, however, regardless of what the weather is like I don't really need an excuse to put Elarna into a dress. While I can get her in a dress I will, I'm sure she will be telling me when she doesn't want to wear one! I have often talked about my love of putting her in girly, pretty dresses and although she does wear leggings, shorts and tunics quite alot I will always put her in a dress if there is a chance. I just adore seeing her in little dresses and when I was asked to take part in House of Frasers summer clothing campaign I couldn't wait to get involved.
I chose 3 dresses that just jumped out at me (although it took a very long time to choose!). All quite different in their own right as you can see. Bonus is that they were all in the sale.
I chose billieblush jersey dress with tulle skirt (was £39.00 now £27.40), pumpkin patch lace bodice dress (was £20.00 now £14.99) and lastly the balloon rara dress by kite (which is now out of stock).
We had alot of fun taking the pictures in the garden, Elarna loves to pose and was very obliging even though the day was very hot (these pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago). I absolutely love her pose with her tongue sticking out (see below) - she looks so angelic most of the time but don't be deceived she is an actual little diva.
I just love this little tutu dress, it is a little long in the body for her as she is a shorty bum but oh goodness she looks sweet. I love the little diamante fish detailing on the bodice too, it's such a cute dress and actually quite cool on hot days as the fabric for the bodice is relatively thin but lovely quality. I haven't washed this yet, I'm not sure of the washing of these types of items so I will definitely be going gently when I do wash it - FYI Elarna has only worn this for the photos so far, I realise I just sounded like I wasn't washing it and being skanky but I'm not, ha!
The 2nd dress is in the sort of style that I would normally pick. It's pretty, girly, flowery an lacy. Once again this is far too long for her (poor love inheriting her short legs from me!) but I still think it's quite wearable at this length as long as she's not walking huge distances. I love everything about this dress, we particularly love the little details in the flower shaped buttons, the cute keyhole opening at the back and the lace bodice and underskirt - it's just ridiculously pretty. It's what I would deem a proper little girls dress.
Lastly and by no means least is probably the most wearable out of the 3. This very sweet hot air balloon dress is a good size on Elarna and is made from t-shirt material so quite robust while at the same time keeps its girliness. Once again, I love everything about this dress but mostly the rara skirt!
I also really like the colours and pattern, it's quite well designed with the envelope neckline for easy dressing and it's kind of designed like a vest with the skirt attached (if that makes sense) but it's all in one. It's a very practical dress but oh so pretty at the same time - this one we have washed and it's kept its shape and colour ever so well.
If you haven't checked out House of Fraser's children's section before I strongly advise you do, they have a huge selection of fantastic brands and so many beautiful items to choose from - I was actually spoiled for choice and it took me such a long time to choose these 3 dresses.
What do you think of the 3 dresses that I went for?
* Please note I was very kindly sent these items free of charge in exchange for a review.
God the gremlin would be so jealous! These are gorgeous. House of Fraser has so much stuff! We are still wearing the dresses the grem was sent. Elarna looks so cheeky in the pics xx #binkylinky

ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie and lovely dresses. I love the 2nd one but the 3rd one does seem more wearable. LM loves a dress but she always loves climbing and hates if they get in her way so Jersey dresses are a go to for us most of the time! Xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous little model. All pretty cute frocks; though the middle one my fave. I need to put my little girl in more dresses! #bestandworst
ReplyDeleteMy girls love to wear dresses- particularly my oldest who is so keen on wearing dresses that i have to pre-warn her if she's going to need to wear trousers the following day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your review on #TriedTested this week x
The flower and lace dress is my faviourite, absolutely stunning. Your little one is super cute in all her clothes, so summery for sure. I love house of Fraser for clothes, always great quality. #bestandworst

aww and this is why id like a girl next haha! the second outfit is super cute as casual wear really too - like you say, more like a vest top :) #bestandworst
ReplyDeleteI definitely understand your desire to put the little one in dresses while you can. My daughters have a number of dresses too. I particularly love the second one here. #TriedTested
ReplyDeleteWhat a great little model you have there!! There always seems to be so much more choice for girls clothing, than boys. Needless to say I'm inexperienced with buying dresses as I don't think my little man would appreciate it too much!! :D Make the most of it while you can. She'll soon be telling you what she will and won't wear! :) #bestandworst
ReplyDeleteooooh you're so lucky! I love that Pumpkin Patch dress, though only because I'm on the hunt for a nice dress for a wedding we're off to later this month. I do love the last one for 'usual' use x

The dresses looked lovely all hanging up but it's the talented model that makes them. She's so cute!! What a little poser as well, definitely a blogger in the making there! #bestandworst

ReplyDeleteI love the tutu dress! but you're right - the last one is probably the most suitable for everyday where. I love my boy, but I do wish I could put him in little dressed sometimes lol #bestandworst
ReplyDeleteLove the floral one in the middle! Girls' clothes are so much more interesting than boys' ones. This morning Piglet did use one of my mother's dresses as a shawl though, so perhaps he can start some new trends in menswear in future! #BestandWorst
ReplyDeletelove the floral with the lace, super cute pics #bestandworst
