Organix Chunky Fruit Bars - Review

I have always loved the brand Organix and when I was weaning Alfie I always had some Organix snacks in the changing bag to ward away any hunger pangs and unnecessary tantrums. In fact I have also been known to share some of the snacks that I've packed for Alfie, you know just to test them out!

The thing that I love about the brand is their emphasis on natural products. Their 'rules' set the president: 'always organic, nothing unnecessary and setting standards'. They are huge on the 'no junk' within their products and they believe strongly that children deserve to eat well and learn to love food which is something that we strive to do with Alfie.

Alfie has been busy testing out some of the new fruit bars which are now in a chunky format and available in two flavours, banana and date or apple and date.

I really like the packaging that the bars come in, it's fun, child like and appealing, each box also comes with a fun fact too which is nice. The bars them self are quite small and easy for little toddler hands to grasp hold of. Each bar is made up of 5 bite sized pieces that can either be broken off or eaten whole, they are also super handy for popping into your handbag or a lunchbox.

The bars are made up of 100% organic dried fruit basically squashed together to make these tasty little bars, there is no added sugar, no artificial flavours or colours so you can rest assured that you are giving your little ones a healthy snack. I don't think they look particularly appetising if I'm being completely honest but Alfie didn't seem to mind as he tucked right in! He preferred the apple and date to the banana and date which I assume is because he prefers apples!

The bars are suitable for the ages of 12 months and upwards and each box contains 6 individually wrapped bars retailing at £2.49 a box and will be available from leading retailers from April 2015.

They got a resounding thumbs up from Alfie and when I asked him what he thought his response was 'yummy!' so it's clear to see that Organix are onto a winner with these little snacks. I just wish they were a little bit bigger and smelt nicer, other than that they are great and a convenient snack.

Have your little ones tried the new Organix chunky fruit bars? What did they think if they have?

* Please note I was kindly sent the bars free of charge in exchange for an honest review, all the thoughts and opinions are that of my own.
