Our Week!

Well it's been an ok week, not great but could have been worse I guess, towards the latter end of the week it did start to get a little better. Saturday we spent a lovely few hours at a local swimming pool, my children are such water babies, they absolutely love the water and Alfie especially is really coming on well with his swimming. It was a great way to start the weekend. Saturday afternoon I started to feel a bit icky but thought it was perhaps just tiredness, as the day went on it was clear that I wasn't feeling great, I came to the conclusion that I had a touch of food poisoning, wasn't a pleasant way to spend the erst of the afternoon/evening. Sunday I felt a little better, we had our friends little girls 4th birthday party to attend at a softplay, it was great and Alfie had a lovely time. Just like the that the weekend was over!

Tuesday was glorious, we were so lucky that the sun came out for us on my day off, I spent the day doing jobs around the house and spending time with the kiddies in the garden. Alfie played so nice with Elarna, I managed to get some great pictured of him passing a ball to her and almost showing her to pass it back to him and creating a little game, it was so sweet. We were woken by Elarna at around 11:30pm screaming and puking, so random as she had been fine during the day

Yesterday, my other day off was spent hoovering and steaming (again!), mowing the lawn and playing trains with Alfie......well I say playing, he played and I watched! We had lots of fun in the garden and I witnessed some gorgeous sibling playing. Sometimes Alfie can be quite rough with Elarna but oh my goodness he played so lovely with her and it was gorgeous to watch. I felt really summery over the last couple of days, a bit of sun really does pick my mood up and it's so lovely to spend some time out in the garden......although I have to have eyes in the back of my head because one minute Elarna is in my view and the next she's up to no good elsewhere in the garden!

This is my week, it's been ok! How has yours been? I have a mega busy weekend coming up followed by a packed week preparing for Alfie's 4th birthday, busy, busy!!

  2. My week was really low key. After travelling back from Strasbourg I was wiped out so caught up on all the TV I'd missed and blitzed the house. Back to work tomorrow!

  3. I've never really been one for the garden but now that my two are getting that bit older I love getting outside and letting them explore and play. I've even bought plants!! (Yep - actual plants - I'll give them about a week. Green things do not do well in my territory).
Lovely post (bar the food poisoning and sickness - hope you're all feeling better now).

  5. Hope you are feeling better sweetie. The weather has been so lovely lately. Isn't it funny, when you think back to your childhood, you always remember it was sunny. It must have been those random days in the garden that stayed in our mind. Not the boring days driving our parents demented in the house as it was raining.'

That's so lovely the Alfie and Elarna play so well together. What is the age gap?

Enjoy the rest of your week

Ha, I'm the same with my son and his trains - he plays, I watch. When I try and join in I just do it all wrong anyway!

  11. Seems as if you had a good week and hope that you are feeling lots better. I am not a fan of the garden but since Amelia can get involved a little more I am finding it more interesting, normally its the husband domain! Haha. I love your photos! #BestAndWorst

I can't even get the mower started! Glad you're feeling better - I'm still trying to shake the nursery lurgy - tonsilitis and conjunctivitis for me this week! Agh!! xx #bestandworst

  20. Glad your food poisoning symptoms didn't last too long. I always feel better when the sun comes out too. Odd how the weather can affect a person's mood so much isn't it.
