Our Week!

Another week gone, how is this even possible? Who knows but once again I find myself looking forward to the weekend.

Another mixed week. The weekend was fab, I had a lovely day in London with the bff/wifey, we both needed a bit of retail therapy and we treated ourself to a few very nice champagnes. First stop was Searcys Champagne Bar, St. Pancras, I love this place and even though it was just 11am we had already decided that would be the best way to start our day......and it was! We then had a browse around the shops, popped to Selfridges and just ambled our way around for the rest of the day. We decided to have another champagne stop at the very lovely and elegant Savoy, obviously not the cheapest place but it was a lovely to sit for an hour or so, have a chat and rest our feet. It was a great day and I'm looking forward to the next one.....once my bank balance recovers! Sunday was Mothers Day/Sunday whichever you prefer and although the day started off pretty pants which I'm not going into it picked up with more champers and a lovely afternoon tea with my Mum at The George of Stamford. I haven't been there in years and although the system to try and get afternoon tea was ridiculous (think no bookings, over the top busy) we had a lovely couple of hours and it was great to spend some time with her.

The rest of the week has been a bit meh, the grey skies and rain have prevented us doing much on my days off. The only exciting (if you can call it that!) thing was our (very reluctant) trip to the dr's. As I've said before both myself and Alfie have had this awful cough and it's been lingering around for almost 6 weeks. Now working in my profession I know that viruses/coughs/colds etc etc will usually get better in their own time, can last a while and don't require antibiotics a cough for this length of time needed some help to shift. I managed to get both of us seen on Tuesday and we came away with some antibiotics, we are on day 3 now and I think they are taking a bit of an effect, definitely less coughing. Hopefully we'll be back to normal next week.

Wednesday I was working, Thursday was just me and the kids and oh my god what a day. From the minute Alfie was awake he was a nightmare, I think he must have got out the wrong side of the bed! We had screaming, tantrums, whining and general just Mummy not doing anything right. Come 6:15 I had made Elarna's milk and the bath was run, bedtime could not come soon enough.  7:30pm and there was peace......ahhhhhhh. Hubby was out for the evening so I had a cheeky glass of wine, wrote this post, caught up on Best and Worst  and watched a bit of TV (Eastenders, trauma doctors.....love a medical show and Bear Grylls Mission Survive for anyone interested!). Just one more shift at work before the weekend, phew.

This is my week, how has yours been?
