Our Week!

It's been a funny old week. It's felt quite long if I'm honest (as you can tell from my unimpressed face in the top left!), last weekend feels like it was yonks ago, I was actually sitting here thinking what on earth did we do? I do remember though (phew not quite senile!) and it was a nice and chilled weekend. We decided not to take Alfie to rugby on Saturday morning as both him and me have still got this cruddy cough, it's been hanging around a while and everytime he runs he then ends up having a coughing fit so we thought it would be best just to forgo it as it was the 1st session of the term outside. My hubby is starting to sort the garden.....I say sort, currently the massive bunch of bamboo that was planted has been dug up and is spread around the grass, can't say it's looking great, anyways I'm sure it'll look great once sorted.

While he was preoccupied with the garden I decided to go and have a look at some wallpaper. I'm trying to do a little bit at a time in the house and figured that the dining room would be the easiest to start with as it didn't need anything much doing it. I have spruced it up with some nice new curtains (by bye gross floral ones that the seller left!) and I've replaced them with a lovely, cream pair with pink accents, I chose to have them really long so I could drape them and dress the window a bit more as we don't really draw them at night, I am really pleased with how they look. After looking at the wallpaper samples after a few hours  we have decided on the pale pink birds, I'm hoping it will look nice when finished......only 1 wall mind as I think the whole room would be a bit OTT.

Sunday we met some friends at a local soft play and let the boys run off some steam, it was lovely to just sit, have a drink and a catch up.

The rest of the week has been really nice and quiet. Having Tuesday and Thursdays off is quite nice and working out ok, it's makes the week seem more manageable I think. On Tuesday I paid my parents an impromptu visit for a couple of hours, it was really nice to just get out of the house and not worry about cleaning, tidying and all the jazz. Thursday I had a real blitz on the house, read what seemed about 50 books with Alfie (in reality it was about 8 but over and over again, ha!), we went for a walk in the Spring sun, before it quickly turned freezing again and rainy! We even had a cheeky Dominos as Alfie wanted to have a picnic with pizza......that boy knows how to live, haa! It was a fab day. I wonder what the next week holds, I'm already looking forward to the weekend, lots of excitement coming up.

This is my week, how was yours?
