Creative Tops Katie Alice Tea for One - Review

Katie Alice Bird Song Tea for One Set

I think it's plain to see if you follow my blog, that I love all things pretty, shabby chic/vintage and girly so when I was asked if I would like to review a piece from Creative Tops I was delighted. When looking through the ranges that they promote the Katie Alice immediately jumped out at me, with pretty ditsy florals and pastel colours, I was sold. When I was doing a little research into Katie Alice I found that I used to go to school with her, I was in the year above, it's a small world! It's so nice to see someone you once kind of knew doing well for them self.

I have a confession though...................I don't drink tea. I know, I know how very 'un British' of me *gasp*. When I was asked what I'd like to review I wasn't specific so it comes as no surprise that I was sent this because, actually the set itself and the design have my name written all over it. If you could see my kitchen you would see just how well this fits in, all of my accessories are in muted, pastel colours along with a semi vintage vibe.

A little bit about Katie Alice herself. Northamptonshire born designer has a love of all things pretty and retro and takes inspiration from vintage heirlooms and antique fabrics to create timeless items full of character and personality. If you browse the range you really get the feeling of the love of vintage but with a modern twist.

As you can see from this tea for one set, part of the bird song range, (RRP £17.99), the entire set is  beautiful, from the packaging to the item itself.

Perfect for any garden party, as a gift or just simply enjoyed whilst reading a book the pretty design will win you over with it's charm. Delicate pastel colours, polka dots and featuring a 1950's bird design this set is perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea. It's delicate, feminine and oh so pretty, it almost makes me want to start drinking tea!

I genuinely can't find anything that I dislike about it, as with all of my reviews I am honest and if I don't like something I will say but this has me won over. My Mum is a tea drinker and when I showed her the set she also thought it was lovely, in fact I'm sure I saw her trying to stealthily sneak it into her bag, hehe. The only thing, and it is a teeny, tiny thing is perhaps the handle of the teapot is something that I would be worried would break as it isn't protected by anything, I guess that if you were sending it somewhere some protection with bubblewrap would be sufficient, I mean I received it in one piece and it was fine!

As you can see from the pictures the vintage bird design is not only featured on the teapot and cup but also on the saucer. It really is one of the pretties sets I have seen in a long time. At the moment I have it displayed in my kitchen as an ornament, it looks too pretty to drink out of!

I am completely in love with the bird song range but also the other collections aswell, when we hopefully move into a new house I am definitely going to be purchasing a few more of her items as they will fit in perfectly with my other accessories. So pinkies at the ready and do have a nose at the rest of items available!

What do you think of the Katie Alice Tea for One set? Are you as in love with it as I am?

* Please note I was kindly sent this item free of charge in exchange for an honest review, the thoughts and opinions are than of my own.

  6. I absolutely love it. Sometimes I think things can try to look vintage but not really achieve it- I think this actually looks like it could be old. I would love one for work!
