New Born Baby Photos

One of the nicest things you can do as a new parent is have a photo shoot, we did with Alfie when he was about 6 weeks old and it was alot of fun, in this latest post you can read lots of tips and tricks and ideas about having a baby photo shoot.

New Born Baby Photos!

The best time to get a photo of your new child is when they are new! They will never be that small again, and before you know it they’ll be 6 foot tall. Babies are the cutest and getting a professional photo shoot done for them will give you an everlasting memory of their cutest stage in life.
A new born baby session should be done within the first 14 days of birth, at this stage in their development babies are still very sleepy and they can be easily positioned into suitable poses. In a warm and cosy environment babies will usually sleep contentedly throughout a session. If you book a standard up to 2 hour session with your photography studio there will be plenty of time for cuddling and feeding. Take a look at http://www.venturephotography.com/ to find out more.

So what look will you go for with your new babe? Here are some suggestions to get you thinking:

Comfortable setting
Have your baby laid peacefully in an array of blankets and swaddling, this will make your new born baby look incredibly sweet. In this relaxed setting your baby will look so cuddly and cute it will be desperately difficult to repress an “Awwww”. Fluffy, and squishy looking pillows will also have this cuddly looking effect, irresistible to new grandma’s everywhere.

Baby with their first cuddly toy
Putting your baby with their first cuddly toy is a good way of ensuring their comfort. While you are out of picture, they will still have something they love to keep them warm and give them cuddles. You can have a fond lasting memory of the toy too, and in years to come you can do a before and after shot of how your child and their toy looks in years to come.

Baby bums are the cutest
There is nothing cuter than a baby’s bottom. Ask Grandmothers everywhere, if they’re not pinching cheeks they are pinching baby bum cheeks. So a popular thing to do in new born shoots is to get your baby in the nip, sleeping on their front and mooning to the world. Your baby will look like a cherub, peacefully sleeping on a cloud.

Action shot
If your young one is having a grumpy day during the shoot, embrace it and get some action snaps of them crying. The contortions of a baby’s face when it cries are incredible and unlike any face they will make as an adult. It will also make a funny story for later on in their lives.

Dress up
Most parents go for a natural, nude look for a new born baby. But why not dress them up as a cute animal or a character from your favourite film. It would be the most delightful and original idea. Imagine what your baby might look like as a panda, lion, dinosaur or bumblebee, or imagine dressing your baby as Darth Vader, Yoda, The Cookie Monster or even an Oompa Lumpa. They would look so cute and the idea would be so unique

I think you'll agree there are some great hints and tips here, as always thanks for reading.
